چکیده

Background: Acute limb ischemia (ALI) is a sudden decrease in leg perfusion that threatens the viability of with symptom onset within 2 weeks. In peripheral artery disease (PAD) conditions, occlusion blood vessels can occur due to thrombosis or atherosclerotic plaque embolism, which called "acute on chronic ischemia". The development endovascular therapy has made this an important role restoring perfusion. aim study demonstrate safety and feasibility therapeutic combination catheter-directed thrombolysis, rheolytic thrombectomy percutaneous transluminal angioplasty acute ischemia. Percutaneous catheter-based rheolytic thrombectomy for massive pulmonary embolism: a case report.

Pulmonary thromboembolism is a life-threatening cardiovascular condition. The mortality rate is high in its current management. Besides supportive treatments, systemic thrombolysis and surgical thrombectomy play important roles in the comprehensive management of pulmonary embolism (PE). The percutaneous catheter-based rheolytic thrombectomy is a promising alternative for management of massive p...

Rheolytic catheter thrombectomy, balloon angioplasty, and direct recombinant tissue plasminogen activator thrombolysis of dural sinus thrombosis with preexisting hemorrhagic infarctions.

We describe the case of a 28-year-old obtunded woman who presented with bilateral anterior parietal lobe cortical hemorrhages associated with thrombosis of the superior sagittal sinus, both transverse and sigmoid sinuses, and multiple cortical veins draining into the sagittal sinus. Initial heparin therapy was not effective. A combination of AngioJet rheolytic catheter thrombectomy, balloon ang...

A comparative study on endovascular treatment of (sub)acute critical limb ischemia: mechanical thrombectomy vs thrombolysis

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to compare different interventional methods for treatment of (sub)acute limb ischemia upon thrombotic occlusions of the lower extremity in terms of their safety and efficacy in a tertiary hospital setting. DESIGN This is a retrospective, single-center study of non-randomized data. METHODS A total of 202 patients, including 26 critically ill patients, unde...

Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of stenotic primitive hypoglossal artery--case report.

A 76-year-old female presented with vertebrobasilar insufficiency due to a severe stenosis of the right primitive hypoglossal artery (an unusual carotid-basilar anastomosis) manifesting as recurrent transient ischemic attacks (TIA) associated with quadriparesis and cerebellar ataxia with vertigo, nausea, and vomiting. She had been treated with 100 mg of aspirin per day, but TIA associated with ...

Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty and Drug-Eluting Stents for Infrapopliteal Lesions in Critical Limb Ischemia (PADI) Trial

BACKGROUND Endovascular infrapopliteal treatment of patients with critical limb ischemia using percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and bail-out bare metal stenting (BMS) is hampered by restenosis. In interventional cardiology, drug-eluting stents (DES) have shown better patency rates and are standard practice nowadays. An investigator-initiated, multicenter, randomized trial was conduct...
